"[We're focused on] the cost of health care and how it's getting out of control. We'll find out in October that rates are going to go up even higher. It will cost the average family of four an additional $3,100 a year so, any tax benefit that any family might have seen is out the window and then some," said Co-Chair Cheri Bustos.
"We're going to drive down your health care costs, we're going to rebuild the country with a real infrastructure plan that will create 16 million good paying full-time jobs and we're going to really take on this issue of corruption in this town. The President spoke about all three of those things – driving down health care costs, he hasn't done it. He talked about draining the swamp, he made it worst. He talked about an infrastructure plan but didn't really produce a serious one," said Co-Chair David Cicilline.
"Well, we're a progressive party but we're also a big tent. That includes Progressives, that includes New Dems, that includes more conservative Blue Dogs and obviously, there are some people, candidates, who may become Members of Congress on the hard left. But, as Cheri indicated, we're going to be relentlessly focused on delivering for the people," said Co-Chair Hakeem Jeffries.
