DPCC Co-Chair Dingell: Democrats Will Continue to Deliver For The People

April 25, 2019

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), appeared on Weekends with Alex Witt on MSNBC to discuss how Democrats will continue to move forward to deliver For the People. Co-Chair Dingell highlighted that Congress should let the committees of jurisdiction dig in and get more facts into the Mueller investigation, while Democrats continue to deliver For The People by fixing roads and bridges, passing trade bills that level the playing field and lowering health care costs. Below are excerpts from the interview. Click here to watch the video

"The Forefathers of our country gave Congress very serious oversight responsibilities and we must protect the very foundations, the pillars of our Constitution. At the same time, the American people need us to be delivering on other things For the People, like prescription drugs, pre-existing conditions, fixing our roads and our bridges, trade bills that level the playing field. So, we have to figure out how do we address serious attacks that were on our national security? When Russia is trying to interfere in our election and the number of people in the Trump world that talked to -- instead of going to the FBI and saying they are trying to interfere -- should bother people. We also have to figure out, how do those of us on the other committees while their doing their work, pay attention to lowering prescription drug prices. That's my number one focus right now."
