WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman David Cicilline, Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy & Communications Committee (DPCC), appeared on FOX News' Tucker Carlson Tonight to discuss Democrats' A Better Deal economic agenda for the American people and efforts by Democrats to raise wages, lower costs and provide Americans with the tools needed to succeed in the 21st century economy. While President Trump and Washington Republicans are consumed by creating crisis, conflict and confusion, Democrats are focused on delivering better jobs, better wages and a better future for all Americans.

"I think this is a serious investigation and I don't think it should be politicized in anyway. And do you know why? Because Democrats are attempting to focus our energy on the things that matter to American families – raising family incomes, reducing the cost in people's lives, making sure folks are prepared for jobs of the 21st century. But you won't talk about it. Have me back to talk about the Democrats economic agenda of raising family incomes, reducing the cost in people's lives, preparing folks for the jobs of the 21st century – a better deal for the American people.
"But the problem is, because there has been so much effort to impede, interrupt, undermine, and diminish the investigation. Allow the investigation to continue, it's serious. Put it aside, let them do their job. They are professionals and focus on the issues that matter to the American people. When asked questions about the investigation, obviously people will answer. What I'm saying is, Democrats are focused like a laser on economic issues and addressing the economic anxiety. Do you know what my constituents care about? Who is going to create good paying jobs? Who is going to raise incomes for my family? Who is going to make sure that I have the skills necessary for the jobs of the 21st century? Republicans benefit from talking about the Russia investigation because they have no accomplishments to talk about.
"Why don't you have me, Hakeem Jeffries, and Cheri Bustos the three Co-Chairs of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee to come on here and to talk about the economic agenda that we put forward – a very bold agenda. Talk about our infrastructure plan, our plan to reduce the cost of prescription drugs, talk about those economic issues. We want the investigation to be completed and for the Special Counsel to have the resources. I'm happy to talk about the economic agenda of Democrats. Democrats are focused on the issues that face the American people."
