"Democrats are going to take control of the House because of the issues they have been discussing are important to the American people. We've set forth a very bold economic agenda that will produce better jobs, better wages, and a better future. That focuses on raising family's income, reducing the cost in people lives – everything from healthcare, to childcare, to higher educations. And then making sure people are prepared for the jobs of the 21st century.
"We've released an infrastructure plan to rebuild our country, a plan to provide for a real tax break for middle-class families, to protecting Social Security and Medicare. Those are the issues that are important to the American people that you hear Democrats speaking about and I think you are going to continue to hear us talk about those issues. I think we all take the discussion of impeachment very seriously and we understand what it means to remove a sitting President of the United States. I'm a member of the Judiciary Committee, we have a special responsibility in that. I think everyone understands that we need to wait until the Russia investigation has concluded, to protect it from political interference, and to see what Mr. Mueller produces – and to make decisions based on the conclusion of this investigation. The vast majority of Democrats have already voted against impeachment on two occasions because I think they understand that there is more work that needs to be done by the Special Counsel. We take this seriously. This election is about who is fighting for the American people? Who is fighting to protect the middle-class of the country to create good paying jobs? So, I think this election is going to be decided by people who ask who is fighting for the things that matter in my family's life and that's the Democrats."
