DINGELL: OUR DUTY TO PREVENT ATTACKS ON OUR DEMOCRACY

DPCC Co-Chair Debbie Dingell Appeared on MSNBC

(Washington, DC) Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12), Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), appeared on Way Too Early with Kasie Hunt on MSNBC today. Dingell made clear that we need a bipartisan Commission to investigate the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol so we know how to prevent future attacks on our Democracy.

"I think the American people witnessed on January 6th an assault on the most significant symbol of Democracy in this country. It is one of the worst day's in American history. Men and women came to the Capitol with the intent to kill us, and you can't ignore that," said Dingell. "We have officers who have not recovered. People don't understand how low the morale is for the law enforcement that keeps us safe. This is a day of infamy for Democracy and we have to figure out how it happened to make sure it never ever happens again."
