DPCC Co-Chair Matt Cartwright Appeared on FOX News, Saying Now is the Time For Republicans and Democrats to Come Together and Get COVID Relief Done for the American People
(Washington, DC) – Congressman Matt Cartwright (PA-08), Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), appeared on America's News HQ on FOX News Sunday. Cartwright echoed President Biden's sentiments on the importance of bipartisanship as we approach passage of a COVID relief package.
"The sooner we tackle this virus, the sooner everything gets better in this country. I think about 100 years ago when we had the Spanish Flu ripping through our country. By the time we got over that flu it was the roaring 20s. I see a lot of rays of sunshine at the end of this tunnel. We're getting through it. We just have to keep our heads together and rescue the places that need to be rescued right now. Let's come together as Republicans and Democrats and get it done. I totally agree with President Biden, I'd really like to see Republican buy-in on this," said Cartwright.
